Remote Control Vehicles: Nitro
A remote control vehicle that is powered by an engine is called a nitro vehicle. This kind of remote control car or truck runs on nitromethane-based fuel. The advantages of this kind of remote control vehicle are longer run times and higher speeds than the electric versions. A nitro remote control vehicle sounds like a real engine when running and emits exhaust smoke making it very authentic. You can’t operate this type of remote control vehicle inside and they are more expensive than the electric remote control car or truck.

the most popular nitro remote control vehicles:
1/10 scale Stadium trucks look just like the electric version but they
use a .12 cubic-inch displacement engine to power them. You can use
the remote control Stadium truck on- or off-road and they will reach
speeds up to 30mph.
1/10 scale Touring cars can be really fast, they will reach speeds of
55 mph. You can operate the re mote control Touring car on-road only.
This kind of nitro remote control car is very realistic and is
four-wheel-drive.
1/8 scale Monster nitro trucks are huge and feature the horsepower to
match. They cruise up to 40 mph and can be used on- or off-road. This
remote control truck is also tough and not much will stand in it’s
way.
1/8 scale On-road nitro cars are extremely speedy and should be
operated by the experienced driver. This remote control car will go as
fast as 80 mph and shifting 2- or 3-speed transmissions are standard.
